How the Edge Score works
Four data signals. One number from 0 to 100. The Edge Score distills how much of an analytical edge the data sees on a game — so you get an answer, not a spreadsheet.
What the number means
Multiple signals aligned. The strongest analytical edge available.
A solid edge. Good value supported by the data.
A mild edge. Worth noting, but the signals are mixed.
No clear edge detected. The smartest call is to pass.
The four signals
Each input is scored 0–100, then combined by the weight below into the final Edge Score.
Sharp Money
35%How the market is split. When sportsbooks disagree on a price — or a line sits softer than the field — that divergence is where professional money tends to surface before it's obvious to the public. We weight the spread of prices across the major US books and discount unbackable heavy favorites.

Line Movement
25%Which way the price has travelled from the opening number to now. A line drifting toward the side we favour is the market confirming it; beating the closing line is the strongest long-run proxy for a real edge.

Situational
25%The spot, independent of talent — chiefly rest and schedule load. A side on short rest or a back-to-back against a fresher opponent carries a measurable disadvantage that power ratings miss.

Injury Impact
15%Confirmed availability on each side. When one team is carrying more confirmed absences than its opponent, that imbalance shifts the edge — shown where our injury feed covers the competition.
Source · Confirmed injury reports
Sharp money and line movement are live across all covered sports today. Situational and injury signals populate per sport as their data feeds connect, and every card shows exactly which signals are live for that game — we never pad the score with data we don't have.
Computed from real data — never invented
Real market data
Live odds from the major US sportsbooks, team schedules and injury reports, refreshed through the day.
Deterministic score
The 0–100 number is calculated in code from that data with fixed weights. Same inputs, same score — every time.
Confidence on every score
Each score shows how many of the four signals it's actually built on — a 78 from four signals isn't the same as a 78 from one, and we show you which. Missing data is never faked.
Explained in plain English
Every score comes with a plain-English read built from the same signals — so you see why the data points where it does, not just a number.
How we grade results
Every score we publish is tracked. Once a game is final, it's a Win when the side the Edge Score favored beats the market line, a Loss when it doesn't, and a Push when it ties. We grade actionable signals only (SHARP, VALUE, LEAN) and show the final score on every result so it's verifiable. See the live track record.
